Celebrating our BGK community & their Inspiring Stories
Being Brave, Good, and Kind means having an open mind towards others and their unique perspectives. Allowing your capabilities to expand further than you know, without having any fear that limits you from trying. Always do good without expectation.

Hello, I'm Kanya Sesser! I was found on the side of the road in a town called Pak Chong in Thailand and was born without any legs. Throughout my twenty eight years on this planet, I have accomplished so much and was able to
create a name for myself - leading with inclusivity - within the
disability and female communities.
I started skateboarding when I was just nine years old growing up in Portland,
Oregon around kids in my neighborhood. It made me feel free. I also joined
wheelchair basketball, track, tennis and sled hockey that allowed me to be a part of multiple junior world cups and even allowed me to join the Paralympics team during college. Skateboarding was something that always stuck with me as it was the most non-competitive and fun sport that led me to compete in the X Games in Minneapolis for the adaptive skate team!
In addition to sports, I'm a model, inspiring international speaker, performer and actress that is breaking boundaries so that all beauty can be accepted in the business, sports and entertainment worlds. I stand for women and for inclusivity for all, no matter who you are. Everyone deserves to be accepted and you should never let society limit your potential.
